Product Care And Cleaning

Vinyl Coated Polyesters and Textilene

(OPEN Weave, Jaquard & Sunstyle) “Textra” type fabrics have been standard in the industry for years. They are probably one of the most durable fabrics available. Cleaning this outdoor furniture requires a solution made of 5 parts of water, 1 part of bleach, and 1 capful of mild soap or detergent.

Olefins

Cleaning outdoor furniture periodically with detergent and water keeps fabrics looking fresh and new. Most spills can and should be mopped up immediately after they occur. If, however, a spot or stain remains, clean with a solution of warm water and a mild detergent then rinse thoroughly. If necessary, apply a laundry prewash, leave on for ten minutes, then reapply warm water and detergent. For stubborn stains and mildew, chlorine bleach can be used without affecting fabric color. After outdoor cushion cleaning, always rinse thoroughly with water and allow to air dry. The fabric will dry quickly because it is a natural, water repellent material.

Printed Spun Polyester

POLYESTER prints are appropriate for either indoor or outdoor use. Constructed of 100% polyester yarns, these fabrics are easily cleaned with a mild detergent and water. Do not subject fabric to water temperature in excess of 100 degrees. For outdoor cushion cleaning, DO NOT USE BLEACH or harsh cleansers. These fabrics are not warranted against fading.

Sunbrella and Solution Dyed Acrylics

A soil-and-stain-resistant finish that makes outdoor cushion cleaning a breeze. Spot wash by sponging briskly with a soapy solution of natural soap in lukewarm water. Rinse thoroughly with clean water to remove soap and air dry. For stubborn stains or suntan lotion, use a fabric spot remover. Follow directions on container. Rinse thoroughly with clean water, and air dry. Solution-dyed acrylic does not promote mildew growth. However, mildew may grow on dirt and other foreign substances that are not removed from the fabric. To clean mildew stains, prepare a mild solution on one cup bleach plus two capfuls of a natural soap per gallon of water. Spray on entire area and allow to soak in. If necessary, cleaning outdoor furniture might require a vigorous scrub with a sponge or a clean rag. Sponge thoroughly with clean water, and air dry.

Printed Acrylics

This fabric may be used both indoors and outdoors. The base fabric is 100% Acrylic. Spot wash by sponging briskly with a natural soap in lukewarm water. Rinse thoroughly with clean water to remove soap and allow to air dry. For outdoor cushion cleaning, do not use bleach or harsh cleansers on prints.
